Flooding

Flood Resilience Information Session

Thank you to everyone that attended the Flood Resilience Information Session on Thursday 26th March. The notes of the Q&A session are available below.

Flood Recovery and Reporting

Following recent flooding, a recovery guide has been shared to support anyone affected. The guide includes practical advice on cleaning up and dealing with insurance, and we encourage residents to make use of it.If your home or business has flooded, please report it as soon as you are able. Reporting helps authorities understand the impact on our community and prioritise both immediate responses and long-term solutions. Flooding can be reported via:

Environment Agency Incident Hotline: 0800 80 70 60

Once residents are able, a full report should also be submitted at floodreport.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk. This service is available across Wessex and ensures information is shared with the correct flood risk management authorities. Thank you for helping us build a clearer picture of flooding impacts in our area and supporting future prevention efforts.
